Tis the season to be jolly, to get together with those you love and slide down the slopes of Sasquatch Mountain. Hemlock Valley has always been the place to visit with friends and family in the winter time. Who can resist getting their picture taken with the giant carved sasquatch, virtually empty lift lines, skiing fresh lines all day and partaking in the many festivities that come along with the Resort!
Below is a list of some of the new activities and happenings that will be guaranteed to spread joy throughout the winter season for anyone coming from far and wide:
- Be one of the first ones to ride our new Blue Chair
Replacing the two-person red Skyline chair that we’ve had for years is our New Blue Quad chair. It will be operating by the beginning of the season at a speed 20% faster than the last, allowing for many more skiers to spend less time on the chairlift and more time hitting those slopes.
- Whistle Park is back this year, so take advantage of two different parks
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro at sending yourself off jumps, bumps, rails and boxes, there will be something for you this year. The park crew is getting excited to build two parks – one more mellow underneath the Whistle Punk chair with smaller, more accessible features for those just starting out, and a jump line set up between Sasquatch chair and the magic carpet lift!
- Take a shuttle bus from Mission, Abbotsford or Chilliwack
We know that road can sometimes grind your gears. This year we’ve got a great relationship with the local bus company Reliablebus who will pick you and your family or friends up from checkpoints around Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Sandpiper Golf Course.
- Upgrades to the lodge
This year we have been upgrading many aspects around the lodge, including signage, changes to the decor in the bathrooms, refinishing the tables in the cafeteria, restaining the sasquatch, painting the lodge, and so much more. We’re striving to make your experience here at Sasquatch the best it can be!
