Ski & Snowboard Instructors

Responsibilities:

  • Plan & teach ski and/or snowboard lessons to our guests
  • Knowledgeable of all snow school products offered by SMR
  • Guide snowshoe treks
  • Ensure all lesson products are delivered in a fun and safe environment
  • Responsible for the safety of each guest within the instructor’s care
  • Daily set-up and tear down of the lesson area
  • Knowledgeable of and inform guests of the Alpine Responsibility Code
  • Assist other departments as required

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Level 1 with CSIA, CASI or equivalent
  • Professional at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Previous teaching experience an asset

Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing relationships and maintaining corporate sponsorship, B2B opportunities, generating group revenue and growing brand awareness. Primary tasks include evaluating, targeting & solicitation of, negotiating and contracting group business opportunities for Sasquatch Mountain Resort. Ensure proper and timely turnover to ensure for quality service delivery. The position is tasked with achieving revenue and day ticket sales goals across all resort activities throughout winter and summer operations. Work with the General Manager to maximize the revenue potential of each opportunity across multiple lines of business by effectively aligning the guest goals with the appropriate experience. Promote guest retention by delivering service excellence throughout each guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Solicit, close and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques.

Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new guests through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, Tradeshows, etc.

Host site tours and client events at Sasquatch Mountain Resort with in-resort presence as business demands require. During these visits the right candidate will take advantage of this time to strengthen relationships with in-resort stakeholders.

Develop relationships within the meetings and conventions community to expand guest base for future group business opportunities.

Work collectively with Marketing Manager and Guest Experience Manager to ensure the resort needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary.

Be familiar with the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc. and know how to sell against them.

Partner with the Hospitality and Operations teams in providing a guest experience that exceeds the guests’ expectations.

Work with the marketing team to evaluate and close the best opportunities based on market conditions and Resort needs.

Overall Responsibilities:

Achieve and/or exceed team and individual revenue goals.

Develop effective, measurable sales plans/actions based on prime time and need times for SMR.

Prepare correspondence to guests, internal booking reports and file maintenance when needed.

Execute designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve revenue goals.

Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Effectively use sales resources and administrative staff.

Create weekly sales activity reports.

Comprehend and achieve team and individual goals.

Contribute to the health and strength of a dynamic team culture.

Job Requirements:

Hospitality marketing experience.

Tourism related experience. Four-year college degree strongly preferred. However, any combination of education and sales training may also be considered.

Proficient in Microsoft Office mobile devices

Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing campaigns and implementing tactics to help drive top-line revenue for Sasquatch Mountain Resort.  The role requires experience in digital marketing area, and website management, along with knowledge in social media strategy, reputation management, and brand management. 

The candidate must be a good communicator that can collaborate with team members, think critically, give and receive feedback, and prioritize workflow. Agility is needed as there is a wide range of marketing projects and responsibilities that require the Marketing Manager’s involvement. The Marketing Manager must possess excellent digital marketing, verbal, and writing skills. 

Job Responsibilities:

Create and manage marketing initiatives and tactics to achieve budgeted monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals.

Manage digital marketing channels including online advertising, search optimization of website, improve user experience and booking flow on website, monitor and report on website performance using google analytics, and manage online reputation.

Liaise with General Manager to create and market promotions to drive business mix for leisure and group segments for need periods.

Direct Social Media Coordinator in creating content for social media channels; measure and grow social channels.

Possess email marketing knowledge, from conception, creation, list management and measurement.

Liaise with General Manager to align with resort, pass holder and hospitality sales and marketing initiatives

Assist in development of an annual strategic marketing plan.

Oversee design and production of collateral pieces which align with brand standards; grow and maintain library of marketing assets to support marketing efforts of brand.

Provide standard weekly and Ad Hoc reports as needed articulating SMR sales & marketing activities

Utilize Photoshop, InDesign and other relevant technology platforms to drive business and maintain guest databases for communication and marketing functions.

Support local partner and community events as an ambassador for SMR.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required. Emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications is preferred.

5+ years sales & marketing experience, hospitality/travel/ transportation fields a plus.

MS Office, Google Analytics, SEM Platforms, ability to learn Adobe products, email marketing platforms, website CMS products.

Flexible schedule (weekends, early mornings/evenings, holidays).

Preferred:

Hospitality marketing experience.

Tourism related experience.

Copywriting experience.

Social media experience.
