Job Description:

Utility Operator: Under the general direction of ownership and the immediate direction of the Director of Operations – of “Sasquatch Mountain Resort”, the Utilities Operator – of “Hemlock Valley Utilities” is responsible for the overall preventative maintenance, planning and operations of the three utilities for Hemlock Valley. Including: Water, Sanatory and Electric.

Responsibilities:

· Primary Responsibility for Maintenance, preventative maintenance, and day-to-day operations of the three utilities. Ensuring Reliable Utilities Services.

· Scheduling and allocation of team, contractors, and resources

· Financial project tracking and accountability

· Prepare recommendations and implement plans to ensure utilities can adequately prepare for and supply to a growing resort community

· Manage water filtration, purification processes and pumping operations

· Schedule and oversee the maintenance of plant equipment

· Prepare reports on water supply and water quality

· Manage the operations of electrical power distribution systems including generating stations, transmission stations and distribution networks

· Plan and direct the distribution activities of a municipal electrical power establishment

Job Description:

Utilities General Operations: Under the general direction of the Utilities Manager, the Utilities General Operations is responsible for the proper scheduling, communication and installation of services within the community. As well as the general support of utilities supply and facilities within the department. Provides relief coverage for the Utilities Facilities Operator.

Responsibilities:

1. Performing all assigned work safely, efficiently and to the best of his/her ability.

4. Performing relief coverage and assistance to the Utilities Facilities Operator.

5. Installing new and replacement water, and sanitary sewer main lines, lateral lines, services, hydrants and related valves and tapping into existing lines.

6. Respond to Utilities Customer inquires and requests

7. Maintaining and repairing automatic valves, maintain pump house and assisting with electrical maintenance and installation.

8. Setting up confined space entry gear, troubleshooting and repairing lines, valves and pumps. Installing equipment and assisting contractors.

9. Performing regular inspection duties.

The Role:

– Oversee the day to day mechanics of the lift maintenance program.

– Identify and correct any problems found on lifts and lift components and any other machine related issues.

The Role:

Reporting to SMR’s Director of Outdoor Operations, the vehicle maintenance apprentice will work alongside our vehicle maintenance team to provide maintenance, service, and repair our fleet using safe and efficient work practices, while also maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This will include carrying out preventative maintenance, diagnostic tests, and repairs to a variety of vehicles and equipment. This position is based primarily in a maintenance shop atmosphere, however our mechanics, and apprentices may need to respond to maintenance request on the mountain and perform test drives to adequately service our fleet in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

· Assisting in repairs and maintenance of snowcats, buses, snowmobiles, company vehicles, back-up generators, excavators, and auxiliary engines.

· Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services

· Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment

· Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts

· Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment

· Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times

· Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports

· Performs maintenance related work as required

· Periodic maintenance and cleaning of our work facility including workbenches, work areas, floors, walls, windows, common areas, washrooms, yard clean-up, and snow shoveling.

· Organizing & maintaining a clean & safe work environment.

· Conducting and maintaining regular inventory or parts, tools and equipment

· Work hours may require overtime, weekends, and/or holidays

· Other activities and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Some mechanical experience required.

· Must have valid and clean Class 5 Driver’s License.

The Role:

This position reports to senior management and is responsible for working in close partnership with our point of sales software developer to manage the resort’s sales (IT) functions. The right candidate will be comfortable with a bit of “everything”, who understands both front-line support as well as back-end IT.

Summary of Responsibilities

· Works closely with Entabeni System Manager to ensure the successful operations of the resort Point of Sale software

· Assists in overseeing the various software solutions utilized by both the Indoor and Outdoor operations to ensure the most effective solutions for the resort are offered

· Programming and configuring appropriate products and functions according to specifications under the guidance of Entabeni System Manager

· Offers technical support to users by responding to questions and concerns

· Perform troubleshooting under the guidance of Entabeni System Manager to diagnose and resolve problems

· Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate POS software and computer equipment

· Assist in new POS software project design and implementations

· Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices

· Work with the POS software developer to organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work

· Improves system performance by solving problems and recommending effective changes

· Assist in Training team members in the use of our Technology platforms

The Role:

As a key member of the SMR HR team, the Employee Experience Coordinator reports to the HR and Employee Experience Manager and works closely with other department managers.

The Employee Experience Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all employers provided accommodation, with specific day-to-day property operations of shared housing and the social house.

  • In collaboration with HR and Employee Experience Manager, manage department bed allocations and floor plans for all staff housing properties.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Payroll to manage and balance staff housing finance accounts as it relates to damage deposits, rents, and fines
  • Create, review, and update all resident communications and documentation including staff housing website, social media, and handbook
  • Chair Staff Housing Committee meetings, sharing occupancy reports and resident updates
  • Bring best practices and recommendations for on-going improvements as it relates to staff accommodation operations and policies and procedures
  • Oversee all staff check ins and check outs, as well as bi-weekly unit inspections
  • Oversight for all operations of staff housing building including, but not limited to:

Existing contractor relationships and intra-department relationships for ongoing maintenance, custodial, IT and other services.

  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of residents and adhere to all related corporate policies.
  • Ensuring exterior access points, stairwells, walkways etc. are safely maintained, aligned with WSBC policies and practices, and reporting of any on property accidents

The Role:

· Assist with budgeting, reporting and accountability for financial performance as related to Food & Beverage

· Assist the Director of F & B in strategic planning as related to Food & Beverage

· Assist to Develop and implement departmental systems, procedures and training to continue moving the business forward

· Continuously development and training of the teams as related to food and beverage

· Ensure practice of health and safety regulations

· Assistance with developing and costing menus for all food and beverage outlet

· Understand Covid-19 Pandemic Response and maintains all F&B locations Procedures

· Other duties as assigned from the General Manager and Ownership

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications:

* Completion of secondary school

* Post-secondary education in business management or a related field considered an asset

* Minimum of 3 years as a Head or Executive Chef role

* Minimum of 5 years of restaurant experience with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role

* Food Safe Certification

* Serving it Right Certification

* Must be aware of all safety/sanitation guidelines

* Strong leadership skills

* Strong communications skills

* Strong skills in developing plans and budgets

* Strong time management skills

* Conflict resolution

* Able to multi-task

* Must be able to work under pressure
