Job Description

As a key member of the SMR HR team, Employee Experience Coordinator reports to the HR and Employee Experience Manager and works closely with other department managers.

The Employee Experience Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all employer provided accommodation, with specific day-to-day property operations of shared housing and the social house.

Single or double occupancy onsite staff housing is available for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership of staff housing administration as it relates to policies, processes including check ins/outs, internal and external communications, room allocations and resident relations
  • In collaboration with HR and Employee Experience Manager, manage department bed allocations and floor plans for all staff housing properties.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Payroll to manage and balance staff housing finance accounts as it relates to damage deposits, rents, and fines
  • Create, review, and update all resident communications and documentation including staff housing website, social media, and handbook
  • Chair Staff Housing Committee meetings, sharing occupancy reports and resident updates
  • Bring best practices and recommendations for on-going improvements as it relates to staff accommodation operations and policies and procedures
  • Oversee all staff check ins and check outs, as well as bi-weekly unit inspections
  • Oversight for all operations of staff housing building including, but not limited to:
  • Existing contractor relationships and intra-department relationships for ongoing maintenance, custodial, IT and other services.
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of residents and adhere to all related corporate policies.
  • Ensuring exterior access points, stairwells, walkways etc. are safely maintained, aligned with WSBC policies and practices, and reporting of any on property accidents
  • Access Control – Monitoring access points of the building, enforcing sign in procedures
  • Management of inventory of supplies and equipment for each unit in accordance with budget and approved vendors
  • Create and maintain electronic files for individual employees.
  • Assist with uniform distribution and maintenance.

The Role:

We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator who is passionate about representing our mountain to our guests, the media, and general public to enhance the company’s profile and further strengthen our brand presence in the tourism marketplace. The primary function of your role is to creatively promote the Sasquatch brand, culture and message within our surrounding communities so that Sasquatch Mountain is known as Fraser Valley’s favorite year-round playground.

This role is best suited for a self-starter with a positive, vibrant personality who enjoys the hustle and bustle found within the day-to-day operations of a dynamic and constantly changing work environment. Someone who can roll up their sleeves and lead on any number of projects simultaneously – and wants to be a part of our continuing development, growth and success. The successful candidate will work with the events & social media team to create, execute and promote on and off mountain events and promotions. Responsibilities:

Marketing

  • Boosting awareness of the Sasquatch Mountain brand in the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver area and promoting SMR as a venue of choice for year-round events, functions, and activities.
  • Planning digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising.
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.
  • Getting to know and understand our consumers, target demographics, and what influences their spending patterns/decision making.
  • Ensuring branding is consistent through all outlets and channels.
  • Tracking and analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns and adjusting accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education in the area of marketing, events and/or tourism/business management.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, social media management or related field preferred.
  • Strong copywriting skills, a creative outlook and experience with brand campaigns.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite design software (ex. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with current social media tactics and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).

Job Description

Our Sales & Marketing team is looking for a new teammate to work with us on all aspects of what we do. Helping with Social Media, Email Marketing, Website Maintenance, In House Design, Group Sales and Events, plus assistance with projects, proposals and guest experience are all on the table as we design this position around your skills. We’re a small, but dynamic team of self-starters and team collaborators. We work very closely together but also independently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Brand Ambassador for Sasquatch Mountain Resort on mountain and within the community
  • Assist in the development and promotion of new programs, initiatives, and events for both winter and summer operations
  • Provide support to the Business Development Manager to maximize group sales through building new partners and relationships

Job Description:

The Events Coordinator is primarily involved in the animation and coordination of events, entertainment and groups, including summer and winter events while providing support to sales efforts and guest experience as needed to create meaningful and engaging animation, both during peak and off peak season. The Events Coordinator follows the event or group from its conception and works with all departments to determine any food and beverage, A/V, set up, lift ticket, rental, activity, or other needs the event/group may have. The Events Coordinator helps each department attend to the event/group and works as the intermediary between the two.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Ambassador for Sasquatch Mountain Resort on mountain and within the community
  • Assist in the development and promotion of new programs, initiatives and events for both winter and summer operations – planning, set up, event execution and teardown of on-going, weekly family activities and signature events
  • Work with marketing department and generate increased attendance at each of these events.
  • Be on site and available where needed during event days and group visits
  • Coordinate between all departments to create the best and most cohesive experience for groups
  • Facilitate client activities on-site, off-site, and on-mountain in uniform and on skis/snowboard
  • Be the liaison and point of contact between groups and Solitude
  • Work with F&B managers to create & print menus
  • Arrange and host site tours, including on-mountain, venues, and lodging properties

The Coordinator must be willing to work odd hours, do manual labor (event planning requires a lot of hands-on, physical work including site set-up/take-down, taking supplies to/from storage facilities, etc.) and work through the elements (events go on – rain or shine – or snow!).
  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through. It is important to be able to prioritize projects, ask for direction when needed and follow through on the completion of tasks.
  • Self-motivated/Self-sufficient. The Coordinator will be expected to take on a lot of responsibility and work independently without supervision.

Job Description

The Manager of Hospitality will be accountable for ongoing operational and administrative oversight of all Hospitality, Guest Services and Restaurant Operations. This will include all aspects of the business process management and employee leadership. They will provide direct guidance for department activities and direct reports, while providing general oversight of all activities. They will partner with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. The Manager will lead the implementation of activities operating procedures, providing exceptional service delivery, while ensuring a safe operating environment for all guests and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a member of the Food and Beverage, and Guest Experience team with daily operational oversight to ensure a positive, safe experience for both guests and team members.
  • Responsible for adherence to strict Health & Safety procedures and reporting.
  • Responsible for guest and employee safety. Lead regular discussions on our safety practices. Guiding awareness of compliance with regional health authority and industry regulatory operating requirements.
  • Monitor and log all training processes and forms, Coordinate with Supervisors and Leads to ensure consistency in activities and training.
  •  Creation and revision of Training and Operational Procedures and documents, in both written and online training platforms. Ensure they reflect ongoing changes in procedures and safe operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and audit new program initiatives, operational procedures, and paperwork. Audit and assist with the maintenance of operating procedures, inspection logs and safety standards for employees and guests. Create and support new initiatives.

You are a detail oriented, reliable individual who will be responsible for the daily audit and handling of the resorts revenues. You will work closely with our revenue generating departments to ensure all records are accurate and recorded appropriately.

  • Audit and track all revenue collected within the resort.
  • Perform cash handling duties (including counting, balancing, placing and fulfilling coin orders, etc.).

The Role:

We are in need of a bus driver that would operate our 24-passenger bus from a start point in Mission, BC with the purpose of transporting our off mountain staff from the City to the Mountain in the morning and returning them at the end of the day’s operations. This would be a five day work operating a Wednesday to Sunday week. The schedule includes split shifts beginning at 0700 hours to 1100 hours. Then again from 1400 hours through to 1800 hours. There may be other operations, Staff Shuttle bus on a set mid week schedule to take Mountain residing Staff to Mission or Abbotsford shopping for supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the bus in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform pre-operational checks of the bus as per the pre-trip checklist
  • Transport staff to and from the resort, pick-up staff at the designated pick-up points
  • Put chains on the bus, where required
  • Assist at the maintenance shop, where required
  • Practice safe work procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Snow Removal Operators are responsible maintaining our parking lots and accesses. They also maintain accesses to main lodge, maintenance shop, staff accommodations and utilities.

Job Description

As a key member of the SMR HR team, Employee Experience Coordinator reports to the HR and Employee Experience Manager and works closely with other department managers.

The Employee Experience Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all employer provided accommodation, with specific day-to-day property operations of shared housing and the social house.

Single or double occupancy onsite staff housing is available for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership of staff housing administration as it relates to policies, processes including check ins/outs, internal and external communications, room allocations and resident relations
  • In collaboration with HR and Employee Experience Manager, manage department bed allocations and floor plans for all staff housing properties.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Payroll to manage and balance staff housing finance accounts as it relates to damage deposits, rents, and fines
  • Create, review, and update all resident communications and documentation including staff housing website, social media, and handbook
  • Chair Staff Housing Committee meetings, sharing occupancy reports and resident updates
  • Bring best practices and recommendations for on-going improvements as it relates to staff accommodation operations and policies and procedures
  • Oversee all staff check ins and check outs, as well as bi-weekly unit inspections
  • Oversight for all operations of staff housing building including, but not limited to:
  • Existing contractor relationships and intra-department relationships for ongoing maintenance, custodial, IT and other services.
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of residents and adhere to all related corporate policies.
  • Ensuring exterior access points, stairwells, walkways etc. are safely maintained, aligned with WSBC policies and practices, and reporting of any on property accidents
  • Access Control – Monitoring access points of the building, enforcing sign in procedures
  • Management of inventory of supplies and equipment for each unit in accordance with budget and approved vendors
  • Create and maintain electronic files for individual employees.
  • Assist with uniform distribution and maintenance.

The Role:

We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator who is passionate about representing our mountain to our guests, the media, and general public to enhance the company’s profile and further strengthen our brand presence in the tourism marketplace. The primary function of your role is to creatively promote the Sasquatch brand, culture and message within our surrounding communities so that Sasquatch Mountain is known as Fraser Valley’s favorite year-round playground.

Responsibilities:

Marketing

  • Boosting awareness of the Sasquatch Mountain brand in the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver area and promoting SMR as a venue of choice for year-round events, functions, and activities.
  • Planning digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising.
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.
  • Getting to know and understand our consumers, target demographics, and what influences their spending patterns/decision making.
  • Ensuring branding is consistent through all outlets and channels.

Primary Function

Your primary role will be to support the Resort Experience Manager in overseeing the Guest Experience/Retail Department, Team members and assist with the day-to-day general tasks and decision-making processes.  You will be key in demonstrating and leading the Team to ensure our Guests are receiving the highest standards of Guest Experience, attention and a positive, outstanding Resort experience through all interactions!

Responsibilities: 

    Guest Experience Team

  • Ensure our Guests are dealt with in an efficient, friendly, personal and professional manner demonstrating empathy and superior listening/conflict resolution skills.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the Department are functioning and in alignment with the correct policies, procedures and the Berezan Company Core Values upholding and modeling Department Standards
  • Prioritise and multitask to a high level supporting the overall productivity within the Department
  • You will be the main support & go-to for your Team Members in dealing with challenging requests that determine a greater and more detailed approach to achieving a resolution, as well as being responsible for final decisions on refunds (with guidance if needed from the GE Manager)
  • Help oversee and direct the daily operations of the Guest Experience Department, including but not limited to:
    • Organising Team Member Staff meetings
    • Aid in the development of Departmental procedures pertaining to efficiency and best practices for both Guests and Team Members
    • Monitor emails, answer phones and respond to general Guest enquiries
    • Manage online organisation and filing for the GE Department such as updating Google Docs and Share File
    • Work with the Director of Inside Operations & GE Manager in overseeing Retail operations, ordering and Inventory management

    • Make sure all areas are clean and orderly throughout the day
    • Assist in the training and supervision of the Guest Experience Team

    • Assist with cash handling, reconciliation and cash out training for the Team
    • Assist the Resort Experience Manager with Department Scheduling and Team member placement in the Department
    • Make sure all Team Member and Guest facing areas are well presented, clean and orderly throughout the day
    • Be on call on an as needed basis for Sickness Cover
    • Collaborate with the Guest Experience Manager in the development of packages and programs that will increase skier visits and drive revenue streams
    • Monitor daily labour outputs.
    • Keep the Team up to date with current provincial COVID regulations- practicing and implementing within your department.
    • Assist the Sales & Marketing Team with groups, events and snow report updates as needed
    • Other duties may be assigned

Retail Operations

  • Aid in the selection and ordering of new apparel & inventory for the current and following season
  • Assist with the pre-season set-up of the retail store. This would include but not be limited to:
    • Receiving and tracking new inventory as it arrives
    • Oversee all shipments/packing slips & ensure they are in alignment with our orders & invoices.
    • Assist in the setup and layout of the store and the visual merchandising of all items
    • Order additional inventory as needed through current suppliers.
  • Get to know all products and conduct staff product knowledge sessions.
  • Learn our POS system (Oracle), how to program and edit products, and train staff on how to use it
  • Manage inventory; Track and conduct inventory counts in store and on the floor on a monthly basis
  • Aid in the supervision and training of all retail staff

Snow Removal Operators are responsible maintaining our parking lots and accesses. They also maintain accesses to main lodge, maintenance shop, staff accommodations and utilities.

The Role:

We are in need of a bus driver that would operate our 24-passenger bus from a start point in Mission, BC with the purpose of transporting our off mountain staff from the City to the Mountain in the morning and returning them at the end of the day’s operations. This would be a five day work operating a Wednesday to Sunday week. The schedule includes split shifts beginning at 0700 hours to 1100 hours. Then again from 1400 hours through to 1800 hours. There may be other operations, Staff Shuttle bus on a set mid week schedule to take Mountain residing Staff to Mission or Abbotsford shopping for supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the bus in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform pre-operational checks of the bus as per the pre-trip checklist
  • Transport staff to and from the resort, pick-up staff at the designated pick-up points
  • Put chains on the bus, where required
