SAFETY DAY
January 26, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Safety is of utmost importance and that’s why we’re really happy to host, on January 26, both AdventureSmart and Canadian Ski Patrol.
They’ll be discussing all day about backcountry safety, avalanche and snowshoe awareness on their tents so join them and let them explain all you need to know before going on an adventure!
“Snowshoeing and hiking in winter conditions can be hazardous. If you are travelling through avalanche terrain, you and everyone in your group must be self-sufficient—carrying all the proper gear (transceiver, shovel, and probe) and have avalanche training. AdventureSmart is a great resource to help you get informed before heading outdoors. Remember the three Ts—tripplanning, training, and taking the essentials.
AdventureSmart helps reduce the number and severity of Search And Rescue Calls in B.C. No matter what outdoor activity you are planning, be prepared. Follow the three Ts—trip planning, training, and taking the essentials. AdventureSmart is a great resource to help you get informed before heading outdoors.”
